The structure of a sequence
A working sequence consists of a short first email plus two to three follow-ups. Each follow-up has a new angle — not a repeat of the previous email with a 'just bumping this up' note.
The first email states what you do, for whom, and why you're approaching this specific organization. The follow-ups add proof, a case study, or a concrete proposal.
One angle per role
The same solution needs a different message for the operations manager than for the CFO. One wants to know what it delivers, the other what it costs. One sequence for the whole DMU always results in a compromise.
Timing and pacing
More emails doesn't mean more replies. Three to four touchpoints with three to five business days in between is the practical optimum. After that you stop — those who don't respond are saved for a later moment with a new trigger.
