Manual data hunting: why we don't buy off-the-shelf lists

How we hunt companies and DMUs ourselves per campaign — and why that sometimes takes a week for 1,000 contacts.

Why we don't buy off-the-shelf lists

Public databases contain the companies everyone already targets. The decision-makers in them receive similar emails every day and have developed a filter for it. It's precisely the organizations that don't appear in these databases that are least fatigued.

That's why we build every dataset ourselves. We manually search for companies that fit your ideal customer profile and trace the right DMU members for each one.

What a research round looks like

For each campaign, we start with a source analysis: industry associations, registers, job postings, news, and company websites. We then map the DMU for each organization and verify job titles and email addresses.

That takes time. For 1,000 vetted contacts, we sometimes need a full week. That week isn't inefficiency — it's the reason the campaign works afterward.

What that delivers

You reach people who are almost never approached. That shows up in the numbers: higher open rates, more written replies, and an MQL rate that beats the average for purchased data.
